Ayirathil Oruvan

MGR, in this movie fights against slavery and gets independence of labours. Mgr is a Doctor in this movie and helps curing illness of one of the rebels who were protesting against the ruler of the 'Neidhal' naadu (country). MGR and the rebels get arrested and are sold as slaves by the ruler to the nearby island called 'Kanni Theevu', ruled by Sengappan. MGR lead the slave, fight for their rights.

Jayalalitha is the daughter of Sengappan. She falls in love with MGR at the first sight. She offers freedom to MGR from slavery. But MGR rejects the offer and explains her that he will fight for freedom of all the slaves.
