Arunachalam who is ambitious to earn money ventures into business and incurs heavy losses. His loss culminates in the hospitalisation of his father.
Arunachalam and Revathi go to the bank to withdraw money to spend for the hospital bills but find that the money is already withdrawn by Nagaraj.
Shanmuga Rajan finally gets well and comes to home. But the debts on the house now haunts him. The financiers ask him to vacate the house for the money financed. The family moves to Jyothi's grandmother's house.
Abhirami is impressed by Revathi and she agrees to help her family. She also agrees for the marriage of Revathi and Jyothi.
Abhirami through a third person helps their family by giving Rs.ten lakhs to them.
Abhirami and their family come over to Shanmuga Rajan's house seeking Revathi as a bride to his son who is a mentally retarded boy. Abhirami suppresses the fact that her son is a mentally retarded boy. Only Revathi knows that he is menatlly retarded.
The marriage is agreed and on the marriage day hearing a siren from a passing by police van the boy shouts that the police is coming to arrest him. Everybody in Shanmuga Ranjan's house then comes to know that they are trying to marry a mentally retarded person to Revathi. Shanmuga Rajan refuses to further proceed in the marriage and goes off with his family members.
Revathi marries the boy in a temple and comes with him to Shanmuga Rajan's house. Shamuga Rajan gets very angry on Revathi. He asks just one question to the boy and the boy getting scared runs away and goes inside the car.
