Sundaresan's daughter Revathi is being brought up by his brother-in-law. He is a writer.

Sundaresan has been sending money to Revathi for her monthly expenditure through his brother-in-law. He had been putting those money in a Bank. He now decides to give this money to Revathi and gives the accumulated money to Revathi bundled in a red bag.

Revathi refuses to take money saying that she had been brought up like his own daughter by him and have given her education and respect in society.

Revathi is sitting in the steps and writing her diary. Jyothi comes over there and gives a ear-ring telling that it has been given by the grandmother for her. Revathi likes the ring very much. Jyothi puts the ring to Revathi. Sangeetha who comes there to dry clothes sees Jyothi giving the ring to Revathi which actually had been given to Jyothi.
Sangeetha knows that if Jyothi's mother Dhanam sees this she would be angry. She sends Revathi to kitchen telling that aunty had called her. Revathi goes to the kitchen but Dhanam who dislikes Revathi never sees her face. Sangeetha becomes upset.

When everyone is having lunch Sangeetha tacitly makes Dhanam to see Revathi wearing the ring. Dhanam leaves the dining table without having her food and goes to her room. Sangeetha asks Revathi to take milk to Aunty. Revathi after finishing her lunch takes milk to Dhanam. Dhanam refuses milk and asks Revathi to leave. Revathi thanks for the ear-ring given by the grandmother.

Revathi's father who was coming in a flight to see his daughter dies in the plane crash.

D.G. stops his car and goes to smoke and while outside he sees his wife opening the tiffen box and recalls planting the bomb in that tiffen box and shouts out to his wife not to open the box but she could not hear it, she opens the box and the bomb explodes.

Chellamma along with her associates reaches the guest house and are able to rescue Ratna from the hands of rowdies.

Ratna tells that the kidnapping was done at the behest of the D.G. Chellamma decides to immediately leave that place and so they rush back to their house.

Chellamma decides against giving complaint to police since it would attract media persons and there would be unnecessary publicity just as it happened in the life of Anjali.

Chellamma sends her husband to police station and asks him to withdraw the complaint given against Sneha so that she could be released.

The police comes over to the D.G'S house and inform Satish that the vehicle that his brother was travelling got blasted. They further said that both his brother and wife got killed in the bomb blast and they could only recover the body of the women.

Sneha gets released from custody and decides to go straight to Chellamma's house and know who had really kidnapped Ratna. She tells to Chellamma's husband that she will drag Chellamma to police station. A altercation ensues between Chellama's brother and husband and her brother tells that he will one day kill him.

Kamu's marriage with Murthy takes place at the same time pandi marries Maha.

Murthy's father who is against love marriage comes to know for the first time that Kamu and Murthy had already been in love with each other. He beats up Murthy in front of all and then tells Kamu that henceforth Kamu should never meet her parents and she will be just his daughter-in-law. Thus Murthy's father breaks the relationship with Kamu's family.

Maha's parents reach the hospital where she had got admitted along with Pandi. The approach of Maha's father being foolish he gets beaten in the hospital.

A new torture is awaiting Kamu from her mother-in-law.

Lavanya and her mother are puzzled of how could Tulasi came to know all that has been done to her. When Sudha returns to the house she blames her for telling and instigating Tulasi against her.

Sudha gets angry, she takes an auto and goes to Tulasi's house. She scolds her for having involved her in all her troubles.

Thamizh calls up his friend to arrange money and his friend assures him that he will. Tulasi interferes and Thamiz scolds her and asks her to go and study for her exams and that he knows what to do.

Deepa comes to pick up Tulasi, Thamizh interrogates Deepa and tells that she enjoys in seeing his family getting separated. He tells her not to come to his house henceforth. Deepa is unable to make Thamizh realise what he is accusing her is wrong. The very talkative Deepa silently weeps and with tears rolling in her eyes leaves the house.

Nitish shows anger on Lavanya for what she has done to Tulasi and tells her that her mother behaves totally wrong and that she should change herself.

Charu's family comes over to Lavanya's house to take Nitish and Lavanya to their house.
