Athipookal Serial shown on Sun TV at 2:00 P.M. is popular among housewives.

Manohar and Padma are a good loving couple. Anjali is the wife of Shekar. Shekar is the brother of Padma.

Anjali having an eye on Manohar's huge wealth wants to give her son in adoption to Manohar and Padma. Padma gets pregnant and this Anjali feels will retard her plan. Anjali engages an witch craft women and with her help destroys the pregnancy of Padma.

Manohar and Padma feel the need of a child and so they consult their family doctor.

The doctor adivices them to go for a rented womb.

Karpagam is the saddest character in this serial. One day her mother falls very serious and Karpagam does not have enough money to pay the hospital bills. So she decides to become a surrogate mother.

Manohar's sperm is injected to Karpagam and she delivers a child which is taken away by Manohar and Padma. Padma is very fond of the child.

Anjali puts poison into the minds of Padma and turns her against Karpagam and Manohar. Padma always tells that Karpagam has cornered Manohar and she gets herself divorced from Manohar.

Anjali engages Saroja a criminal lady to kidnap the child and the blame falls on Karpagam.

To prove that in this kidnap drama Anjali is behind all this Manga Dakshina's wife stays in the house of Saroja.

The police coming to know that Saroja is behind the kidnapping drama goes to arrest her.

Saroja gets the information and she escapes.

Saroja comes to know that Manga had been espionaging her and hence she keeps Manga under her captivity and tortures her.

To save Manga from the clutches of Saroja Manohar talks deal with Saroja and goes to jail telling that he is the one who kidnapped the child.

The case turns a difficult one for the police, hence the commissioner appoints ACP Ragini to solve the case.

ACP first task now is to find out the hide-out of Saroja. After her taking over of the case through Manohar she comes to know that there is a blacksheep in her own department.

Ragini takes in the cheating policeman into her custody and beats him up. He gets reformed and then passes all information's that he gets about Saroja.

The task is made easy for the ACP when a shoe-polish men comes and sits right in front of the police station. They watch him how he passes information's. They find out that a man is taking the information through a slip of paper in his shoes.

One of the policeman following the trail reaches the hide-out of Saroja and passes on the message to ACP Ragini who comes there with her battalion of police in a van. The policeman while watching gets himself caught and is taken before Saroja who shoots him taking out his own gun from his pocket.

ACP Ragina rounds up the building and takes Saroja into her custody.

On the Narco test that is conducted on her she reveals the name of Anjali who had asked her to kidnap the child.

The commissioner calls up the station inspector and daunts him telling that he has failed to protect Panjali knowing very well that she has a threat to her life from Saroja. The inspector tells him that the incident happened when he went to bring in the Magistrate to the hospital. The commissioner is not satisfied with his answer and tells him that he suspends him and is handing over the case to the new ACP.

A police lady is disguised as a fortune teller and she visits a house, opens the gate and asks if anyone is there. The house lady comes and asks her to go out and tells her she is not interested to hear any predictions.

The police lady speaks on when the house owner comes there and asks her to go off. The police lady tells him that she has been sent by the God to tell fortune about their son whom he has hidden. She tells him that there is a danger to his life and if he wishes he can save him. The house lady then tells her to come inside and tells her husband that they will hear from her what she has to say.

The police lady enters the house and asks for water, when the house lady goes to fetch the water she fixes mini mike below the sofa. As she returns with water the police lady drinks the water and asks house owner to come and sit in front of her. She tells him that he should not waste time since his son is in danger and he should be shifted from his present place. She also gives him a thread and tells that it should be tied to his hand so that his life is not in danger. She takes money and then leaves. Outside the gate she fixes the headphone and starts hearing the conversations that is going on inside the house.

The house owner and his wife discuss themselves about saving their son. They then decide that he shall go in disguise to escape the watch eyes of police and tie this thread to his son.

The lady police hearing all meets her other police associates who had been waiting for her. She tells them that finally he is going to reveal the place where he is hiding his son.

Athipookal-Serial-888 to 897 - 6-6-11 to 17-6-11

Gowramma arrives at Saroja's house, they both drink and go to sleep. At the middle of night Manga thinking that they are asleep takes her new mobile and calls up Karpagam. She tells her the arrival of Gowramma and that she could not get to hear and know the whereabouts of Panjali from them. As she prolongs her talk Saroja awakes and seeing Manga not in her bed she comes outside in search of her. Fortunately she ends the call right at the time Saroja comes there and tells her that she had gone for bathroom.

Karpagam passess the message to the police that Gowramma is leaving the next day. Police forms a team to follow Gowramma and then apprehend Panjali.

When everything goes as per plan Bell Bhaskar who happens to pass by overhears the police in disguise speaking and informing through telephone to the inspector that Gowramma has left in a car and police is following them.

Bell Bhaskar alerts Saroja and Saroja alerts her men who trick the police man following them and escape.

When the police finally accepts failure in their operation they receive one more call revealing Gowramma's travelling train name and seat number. The police then gets into act and two men are asked to follow her in the train. The police are then able to nab and arrest Panjali.

Manga is eager to know about the happenings and is awaiting a chance to call up Karpagam.

Anjali call up Saroja, alerts her and tells her to dig out the secrets of Rakhaee.

Karpagam receives a call from Manga and she asks to return back since Panjali is arrested.

Manga's almost succeeds in her efforts to leave Saroja once for all. Saroja who comes to know that Rakhee is none other than Manga catches with her when she is about to alight a auto. She brings her back to her house. Manga stands not knowing what to do. Saroja closes the door.

The delay in running off proved costly to Manga and Saroja kicks and beats her. Scolds her with bad words. As she thinks more of being fooled this along she pours the anger on her. Manga is taken to a secluded place, she faints not able to bear the beatings. Saroja tells to her goonda elements who have assembled there to kill her, tie a rock on her neck and throw her in the sea so that no one could get her body.

Dakshina Manga's husband waits near the temple in a happy mood to receive Manga and take her home. He waits and waits not knowing that Manga now is in the captivity of Saroja.

Anjali shouts through the phone on Saroja and Saroja says to her that by night she is going to kill Manga and throw her into the sea.

Saroja continues her kicks and beatings of Manga while Dakshina waits at the temple and Karpagam and parties wait in their house.

Saroja's associates inform Saroja that all preparations are ready to kill and throw Manga into the sea.

Rathna the associate of Saroja comes running and informs Saroja that Panjali has been arrested. A scare sets in on Saroja and now it seems her plan to kill Manga could get stalled. Bell Bhaskar tells her now to concentrate more on how to escape from police instead of thinking about Manga. Bell Bhaskar always had a soft corner for Manga, which continues still by his looks and talks and it seems he could turn out to be the savior of her in the end.

The inspector visits the jail and informs the arrest of Panjali to Anjali.

"Enough is enough I do not want anymore blood and life to lose just because of me. I don't want anyone to sacrifice themselves to join me with Padma. Thinking this Manohar sets forth to Anjali's house and shouts Padma to come outside.

As she sets out he tells her that for their sake Dakshina's wife is in the custody of Saroja and Bhanu is suffering for her life in hospital. He tells henceforth there will be no relationship between them. He then leaves making Padma to think...(Is she has the capability of thinking).

Where Bhanu is struggling to survive in hospital, Padma seems to be getting positive and thinking. At least she gets confused after seeing the reactions of Manohar and Shekar.

Panjali is brought back to the police station in a Police Van.

Police decides to stage drama the handing over of Panjali and rescuing Manga, the commissioner tells the Inspector to take the help of as much strike force as he needs to show the strength of police. As desired by Saroja Karpagam goes along with the police to exchange Panjali for Manga. Police cordon off the hill with its strike force.

Saroja asks Bell Bhaskar to bring Manga for handing over. Right when she is coming down the stairs her Cell phone rings and she gets to know that as soon as she hands over Manga to police the police are waiting to shoot her and her gang members.

Saroja gets angry and goes to the spot alone, she abuses the inspector for going back on the deal and challanges him telling that she will kill Panjali before she is taken to court and if possible he can try to save Manga.

The commissioner gives orders to catch Saroja forming special team and elicit from her all those are linked to her and punish them.

Saroja through her goonda elements decides to kill Manga and sends her with them.

She also sends Bell Bhaskar to fetch Biryani for her who has a great soft corner on Manga.

The police inspector and Dakshina receive a phone call that a body is lying near the sea coast.

They both arrive at the sea coast and find the body to be some other women. Dakshina visits the temple and gets a good news from the Siddhar there that Manga will return. The inspector tells Manohar that he is going to produce Panjali before the court.

At the court when everyone is waiting Panjali to take the name of Anjali she names Manohar. Manohar comes to witness box and accepts kidnapping the child as per the deal he had with Saroja. Now Saroja has to release Manga. Manohar goes to jail and Manga is released. Saroja before releasing Manga thinks of poisoning Manga and gives Bell Bhaskar the poisonous injection and asks him to inject it into the body of Manga, but her plans are thrawted by Bell Bhaskar who does not inject the poison. When Saroja comes to know of this she asks her associate to inject the poison into the body of Bell Bhaskar.

Bell Bhaskar falls unconscious and is asked to carry away. At Jail Anjali gets very excited and happy on the turn of events and telephone Karpagam to boast on her victories. Karpagam tells this to Police. Police traces the mobile from which Anjali had made calls. Finding that it was the lady constable at the jail. They warn her that action will be taken against her, they then tell her to continue giving the mobile to Anjali to trace her calls.

Manohar and Padma get their divorce finally. It is decided by the police to do Narco test to Panjali. Saroja comes to know this and she arranges her accomplice and her accomplish pushes her into fire. Panjali gets admitted to hospital. Saroja asks a constable to either kill Panjali or warn her.

Karpagam and Padma are getting ready to fight it out in an auction. Padma calls out for 1 crore and Karpagam tells Padma that she does not want to put her into more loss and is about to go when Padma asks her to take the Quarry lease.

Saroja is in the process of eliminating Panjali. Her first plan of kidnapping Bhanu ends up in failure when Karpagam gets her back by the help of police.
